Timber Bay Window with a Rotten Sill being rebuilt.

Repair Bay Window.

Double Glazing & Repair By Sash Window Specialist – London & Berks Branch

London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Hampshire

This Victorian bay window in Thame, Oxfordshire was restored by Sash Window Specialist London & Berkshire in 2013. The owner had invited several other window restoration companies to quote for the work required. They could only offer an expensive complete window replacement that would sacrifice the fine moulding details found around the head of this period bay window.

The wood rot was contained around the window sill area so we knew this traditional window frame could be saved.

  • Extensive splicing & epoxy resin repairs
  • New 3 part hardwood sill
  • Double glazed replica sashes
  • Draught proofing

The replacement double glazed sliding sash frames were made at our sash window workshop in Reading, Berkshire.  Fitted with Low E double glazing units with Argon gas for improved energy efficiency.

"They were pleasant, extremely knowledgeable and did a great job at a great price. We have had no problem with the windows in the five years since, and they still delight us. We recommend them highly."- 2018
